April has arrived, bringing a fresh burst of spring energy with it! As we shake off the last of the rainy days and embrace the new season, it’s the perfect time to head out to some exciting events in our area. let’s dive into what’s happening around town this April!
APR 6: Exotic Bird Mart at the Alameda County Fairgrounds
The Exotic Bird Mart returns for bird enthusiasts at the Alameda County Fairgrounds from 10am–3pm! See parrots, finches, canaries, lovebirds, cockatiels, cockatoos, poultry, gamebirds and more.
APR 11 – APR 13: Alameda Spring Home Show
Whether you’re building, remodeling or simply redecorating, the Spring Home Show is your one stop place to be. Head to the Alameda County fairgrounds to view hundreds of exhibits from custom kitchens and baths, windows and doors, heating and air, roofing and floors, pools and spas, landscaping displays and more. Meet with the experts and see how they can help turn your house into the home of your dreams.
APR 12: Spring Vendor Market with the Easter Bunny
The Spring Vendor Market with the Easter Bunny will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Flaca's in Livermore (1848 1st Street). This event offers a chance to shop local vendors, enjoy delicious food, and find unique gifts for your spring celebrations. The Easter Bunny will also be there from noon to 2 PM for a free photo opportunity, making it a perfect outing for the whole family!
APR 12: LAA Spring Art Show
The LAA Spring Art Show, hosted by the Livermore Art Association, will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Bothwell Arts Center (2466 8th St, Livermore). This exciting event showcases diverse artwork from talented artists across the Bay Area. The show continues on Sunday, April 13, with a reception from 12-4 PM, featuring live music and food. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public, with artwork available for purchase.
APR 12: Quest Science Center 7th Annual Tri-Valley Innovation Fair
The 7th Annual Tri-Valley Innovation Fair will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. This free event invites attendees to explore cutting-edge science and technology with 80+ exhibitors. Enjoy hands-on activities for all ages (5+) and learn about the latest in sustainability, healthcare, and life sciences.
APR 12: Easter Charcuterie Class at BottleTaps
Create a stunning Easter charcuterie board and impress your friends and family! The Easter Charcuterie Class at BottleTaps will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1 PM to 3 PM. Led by Krysta from Board & Box Co., this hands-on workshop invites participants to craft a beautiful Easter-themed board on a bunny or egg-shaped cutting board. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! The class is $50 per ticket, with all materials and instruction included. Arrive early to enjoy a drink and snack before the class. Open to ages 13 and up.
APR 18: Best of SF Comedy Competition
Head out for a night of laughter at the Best of SF Comedy Competition on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 8 PM at the Bankhead Theater. Enjoy a lineup of talented stand-up comedians from San Francisco, each bringing their unique humor to the stage.
APR 19: Vibes & Brews at Altamont Beer Works
Head to Altamont Beer Works for Vibes & Brews! This free, reggae-infused block party will be packed with local craft beer, food trucks, unique handmade goods from local artists, and a lineup of live bands. Dance, eat, shop, and enjoy the good vibes.
APR 19: Thrift Fest at the Alameda County Fairgrounds
Shop vintage at Thrift Fest! With 125+ vendors, score retro clothes, unique accessories, home goods, one-of-a-kind art and so much more! Enjoying tasty food and drinks and find that perfect piece for your collection or a gift for a friend. Thrift Fest is all about good vibes, great finds, community and supporting passionate local creators.
APR 25: Danville Shops and Hops
The annual Danville Shops and Hops event will be on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM in downtown Danville! This craft beer stroll is a perfect mix of sampling local brews and shopping, all while supporting the educational and community programs at MuseumSRV. Local shops will offer small bites, and area breweries will showcase their craft beers. It’s a great chance to chat with brewers, enjoy some great food and drinks, and explore the town’s shops. Tickets are $35 for tastings and $10 for designated drivers.
APR 26: Connect California Homes Annual Shredding Event
Save the date for our Annual Shred Event on Saturday, April 26th, 2025! This complimentary service is available to the community in both Pleasanton and Walnut Creek, offering a secure and sustainable way to dispose of confidential documents. APR 27: PPIE Pleasanton Run for Education
The 13th Annual Pleasanton Run for Education, presented by Workday, is Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation’s (PPIE) largest fundraiser of the year and supports Pleasanton public schools. The Run for Education raises money for Pleasanton schools while also encouraging a health-oriented, community-building activity.
The event offers 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk, 10K (6.2 mile) Run or Walk, and a Kids’ 1/4 Mile Challenge (3-10 years). The 2 Mile, 5K and 10K are stroller and walker-friendly events.
